Feb. 12 – 15th, 2017 | Oeiras
This course covers the principles, techniques, and ethics of digital image processing, specifically focusing on enhancing and processing bioimages for analysis and publication. Participants will learn to build practical workflows using free graphical user interface (GUI) tools to analyze 2D, 3D, and time-lapse bioimages. The curriculum includes training on object segmentation, densitometry, spot detection and tracking, and filament/tube tracing, all using the trainees’ own images.
Additionally, the course introduces workflow automation, allowing participants to record and reuse commands and pipelines. It is tailored for those who prefer GUI tools rather than advanced scripting or programming languages. Participants will also engage in extracting and validating quantitative data from bioimages, enabling them to solve their own image analysis problems and explore various tools.
