FCUL Microscopy Facility

The mission of FCUL Microscopy Facility (FCUL-MF) is to provide open access to instrumentation, expert support and training to answer scientific questions using bioimaging techniques such as stereo, widefield fluorescence, confocal and electron microscopy. We support our users in assay development, acquisition of bioimaging data, image quantification and data analysis.

The Facility has a key specialization in High-Throughput Screening (HTS), supporting image-based drug discovery and functional genomics projects. A strong emphasis is placed on the efficient managing of siRNA and small molecule libraries to identify biologically relevant hit compounds through automated workflows.

By acting as a hub for bioimaging technologies, training, service provision and support, the Facility aims to foster scientific excellence and have positive societal impacts.
