With the rise of digital technology, images have become multidimensional numerical data that can be processed and analyzed quantitatively to reveal more information. ImageJ/Fiji open-source software (imagej.net/) is a powerful tool for processing and analyzing digital images, and it also allows for the automation of image analysis through custom macros and plugins. This course aims to provide a general introduction to ImageJ/Fiji, showing how to extract quantitative data and write simple macros. While the focus will be on analyzing light microscopy images, the course is designed for anyone involved in research who wants to start using ImageJ/Fiji for image analysis in general.
