The course “Introduction to Digital Bioimage Analysis” covers essential principles, techniques, and ethical considerations in digital bioimage processing. Participants will learn basic commands of ImageJ/Fiji software and how to work with various types of multidimensional bioimages, including 2D, 3D, time-lapse, and positional data. The curriculum includes enhancing and processing images to extract quantitative numerical data and designing simple workflows for automating image analysis using ImageJ macros. An introduction to CellProfiler will also be provided.

Participants are encouraged to submit an analysis problem or dataset of their interest prior to the course, which can be addressed as an individual mini-project with guidance from the tutors.
