We are pleased to announce the Advanced Confocal Microscopy Course, taking place at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal, April 13–17.
The course is organised in collaboration with ZEISS, and will feature a special contribution from Roland Nitschke, Head of the Life Imaging Center at the University of Freiburg. The program integrates theoretical lectures, live demonstrations, and extensive hands-on sessions, providing a comprehensive learning experience that bridges fundamental physical principles with real-world biological applications.
This intensive course is designed to offer participants a deep and integrated understanding of confocal microscopy, covering topics from the fundamentals of confocal image formation to advanced confocal-based imaging strategies.
Key topics include:
- Confocal microscopy principles and confocal light-path optical components
- Advanced confocal techniques (optogenetics, spectral unmixing, Airyscan, FCS and lightfield)
- Experimental design, and data interpretation
To ensure a highly interactive and personalized learning environment, participation is limited to 16 attendees.
Further details, including the full program, registration information, and application form, are available on the COURSE WEBPAGE.
Registration deadline: February 22nd
